Each room has a default capacity of 30 people. If you would like to increase your room capacity, please contact our sales team

When adding a new room, you can choose to build your own room from scratch or select one of our pre-made templates. Note that all of our templates are fully editable and you are able to add your personal finishing touches.

We're adding new templates all the time, so keep an eye out for exciting new releases!

Secure your Kumospace

The Lobby is also where you can adjust your privacy settings. Clicking the Settings and Privacybutton on the top right of your screen will allow you to change the name of your space, and adjust your Privacy and Chat Settings.

Simply choose your preferred options and then click Save:

Everyone: You can set your Kumospace so that attendees are not required to register with an email to enter.

Registered Users: This is the default setting. Allowing only registered users to access your space makes it easier to remove misbehaving guests. Note that removing participants is permanent.

Password protection: Select this option and you will be prompted to choose a password. Only guests with whom you've shared your password will be able to access your space.

Guest list Access: Select this option and you will be prompted to enter the email addresses of participants who are allowed access to your space. You can enter the email addresses manually, or upload a CSV (comma separated values) file, which allows you to add up to 1000 email addresses at once.

Closed Space: The final option allows you to prevent access to all attendees except hosts and co-hosts.

Many of these security options are available in our paid plans. Please refer to our pricing page for more information about securing your space.

You can also choose the ways in which your guests use the Chat function, or disable it completely by unticking all of the boxes. Note that no matter which chat option you select, you and your co-hosts will still be able to message using all methods. chat settings

Commonly Asked Questions

Can I create a custom layout?

Yes! Kumospace is all about custom layouts. Check out this article to learn about all of our features and apps, and how to utilize them!

How do I change the music?

We have several music options that you can add to your Kumospace:

Spotify Jukebox

To stream Spotify in your Kumospace, open up the Edit tab, click on the Activities dropdown, find the Spotify Jukebox and drag and drop it in your space.

     spotify jukebox

Hover your mouse over your Jukebox and click the Settings button that appears. You will be prompted to add a Spotify URL.

Add the link, and start listening to jams 🎶.
The Jukebox can get pretty loud. We recommend placing it in a dedicated "music room" and having a party! The Jukebox will play music no matter where you are in the room, but each guest will have to press "play" to turn it on for themselves.
Note that your browser cookie settings can interfere with the performance of the Jukebox. To check your cookie settings in Google Chrome, click on Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and other Site Data. Under General Settings, select the second option: Block third-party cookies in Incognito, not options three or four.

Can I have more than one space?

We like to think of your unique Kumospace URL as a permanent address to your own virtual space on the internet. At this time we do not support multiple spaces under the same account. If you need multiple spaces, i.e., one for work 💼 and one for personal life 🏄‍♂️, then we recommend setting up a second Kumospace account with a different email.

What is the price of Kumospace?

We have three price tiers in Kumospace: Free, Professional and Custom. On our Free plan, you can host events of up to 30 concurrent participants. If you are planning a larger event, please refer to our pricing page or book some time to talk with our sales team
